LITTLE THINGS 07 – GRATITUDE

When writing these articles, I don't hope that someone clicks on it, nor does I hope that someone will read the entire article, much less hope that someone will sympathize because I know that this is a type of article that does not fit the content of the FTAC website and is not something that most people are interested in. I only write because I am inspired to write and mostly to write for myself. FTAC is a spiritual product of mine, which is also where I operate, so I chose to submit it for fun. However, if there is someone who can read, empathize and apply something to relieve the pressure in life, I am also very happy.

GRATITUDE

On one occasion Jesus was healing in a crowded place when he heard a distant cry, "please save us." It was the cry of 10 people with very severe leprosy with ulcerated flesh. Leprosy at that time was a disease with no cure and people with the disease were considered unclean, driven away and shunned by the world. The Lord's disciples saw this and tried to send the sick people away, but the Lord stopped them, and he went to touch each of them to bless the amazement of the crowd. They shouted why he touched such an unclean ward, but he still ignored them all, he still touched 10 people to bless them. That night, all of them were cured, and their skin was clean again. The next morning one of them returned to the Lord and knelt at his feet in tears. The Lord turned to the disciples and asked, "Aren't all 10 of them clean, why is it that only this Gentile man came back to thank God?" Then the Lord lifted up the man who was kneeling at his feet and said, "Stand up, with this sincere gratitude of yours, not only your body is saved, but your own soul is saved, and the other 9 are only cleansed in body and their souls are not purified. they are not saved."

Through this parable we may ask why God asks for thanks, for gratitude. Didn't you teach unconditional love, why do you want to receive thanks here and seem to blame 9 people for not coming back to thank you, you save people to be thanked? But that is how this parable is understood in a narrow way. For a fully awakened person like Jesus, the world's thanks have absolutely no weight on him, his love is unconditional, he doesn't need anything from the world. Yet in this parable he is asking for a thanksgiving, he is asking not as a reward for his merits, but for the salvation of those who express gratitude sincerely. The love and salvation that creation gives to each being is infinitely vast, but it needs the opening and permission of each person to be able to flow in and take place. God has a just and loving commitment to man of free will, whatever wants to happen to a person always needs their permission, as well as salvation. Gratitude and continually expressing that gratitude sincerely is how we open our hearts to allow our hearts to be saved. If we still see everything we have, the good things we receive are obvious, everything is normal, we don't feel grateful, appreciate and express gratitude for anything, we are closing the door of our heart to salvation. God has reproached the ingratitude of the other 9 not because he is angry, but because he is sorry why they are closing their hearts to truth and salvation so much. Most of us are closing our hearts to love and truth, all of which are always there but cannot reach us. What makes us do that? That is my own ego. The ego always makes us welcome things that are temporary and frivolous, but it makes it easy to turn away from gratitude for the things that are truly meaningful to us. Every breath, every beat of the heart to sustain this body, to everything that we have is given by nature and creativity, even the ability to do anything is a gift. But the ego obscures everything, it makes us think that we can do it all on our own, everything is obvious and it makes us always ask for more, never feel enough and grateful for anything. Although creativity always gives people countless gifts and opportunities to be saved, if we always close our hearts because of the crazy ego and do not open the door to receive it, each gift will eventually disappear. In the end, we get nothing, our souls are forever dry and wild lands. The price of closing ourselves off to the salvation of the soul is the thousands of anxieties and pressures that we are constantly carrying. When we don't allow the love of the creator to touch us, we are like a person standing in front of huge tsunamis but completely helpless, completely helpless, completely unable to do anything other than close our eyes and wait for the moment to be buried. We should not let ourselves be buried in vain just to protect a self full of stubbornness, arrogance, and meaningless humiliation but extremely helpless and lowly. Allow the love and salvation of life to touch to transform our hearts. Don't just always know how to take things for granted, don't look at what you knitg yes is normal. Be grateful and express sincere gratitude for the things we have, the loving people who support us, and all the good things we have received. Maybe the other 9 people also have a little gratitude in their hearts, but that is not enough, their egos have prevented them from expressing it. Gratitude must always be expressed continuously in a sincere way, which is the way to receive love and gifts from God. Jesus was sorry that the other 9 did not return with gratitude, he was sorry that they had refused to let true salvation come to them just because of their insensitivity and stubbornness. Everything that happens to the body is temporary, people can feed us, give us food, give us clothes, give us material comforts, heal us of the temporary pains of the body, but those things can never be true salvation. Those things can only help someone temporarily for a moment, but the more time goes by it becomes counterproductive. True salvation must be salvation from the depths of the soul, in order to help the land of the soul become noble and fertile. Whether our souls are saved or not comes from our own free choice. The 10 lepers in the parable called and allowed the Lord to touch their bodies, so their bodies were immediately saved, but only one allowed the Lord to touch his soul by kneeling at His feet with sincere gratitude. The remaining 9 people completely closed the door with a stone called Emotionless. Even if God wanted to, he could not save their souls because they did not choose to do so.
